HAMILTON, 7th June. At / the Supreme Court William Leahey, convicted of horse-stealing at Taumaruniii, and carnal knowledge of a girl under 16 years of age, was senl tenced to one and two years'. imprisonment, respectively, the sentences to be concurrent. In the last-mentioned case the jury added a rider that the age of consent should be raised, and His Hon&iir concurred.
