Lord Devonport (the Food Controller) has taken over all imports of United States, Canadian, Amsterdam, and New Zealand cheese, and fixed the retail price at Is 4d per lb."' Following the usual course, he will take over the consignments of cheese from the original consignees, and will fix the prices. Later he will cancel contracts by the original consignees.
