THE CASE SETTLED
AUCKLAND, This Day., ;' : A settlement' was arrived, at this morning in the civil action in which the Hon. Arthur Myers sued the. Bank of NewSouth Wales to recover £2000 alleged to have been wrongfully 'paid into the trust ■ account pf the late William Coleman, solicitor. Mr. C. P. Skerretfc stated that at a previous stage Ml". Myers's solicitors intimated what they, thought reasonable terms of, settlement, but complicated questions prevented the acceptance of the offer. The position had since'been cleared. The assignee and the bank had, expressed willingness, .to accept the suggested terms of compromise. Mr. Myers had received this offer, which had been accepted, and the case might be struck out. Mr. Justice Cooper saiS he was glad the caserhad been settled/
