SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
The sailors in Wellington. were given, a splendid concert last night by Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane, and the helpers at the Sailors' Friend' Society, A warm reception' was accorded to all the performers and tho keen .enj<Symeht pf the men was evident. ThY glees by .the. Lyric. Club, and the various competitions were features of the evening. Those who helped were.: — Mesdames Macfarlanc and J. A. Renner, Misses Chapman, Jacobsen, J. Searle, D. Jones, and M. Jonois, and Messrs. J. Searle, Ferretto; .Captain. Macfarlane, and Master P. Searlo.
