SUGGESTED PUNISHMENT OF STRIKERS
DEPRIVATION OF CIVIL RIGHTS.
PALMERSTON N., 22nd April. At the annual meeting of the Palmerston North Branch of the Farmers' Union, the following resolution was carried "unanimously: "That this branch of the Farmers' Union strongly objects to the_ attitude of the miners in the coal strike, and offers its support to the Government in any emergency, arid suggests that all strikers should be deprived of their civilian rights."
