The Waimate Plains Trotting Club's Meeting was held in fine weather before a large attendance. The totalisator showed £10,850, an increase of £2878 over last year. Results:— Auroa Maiden Handicap, one mile and a-half.—3 Xavier (Pringle), 1; 2 Little Jewel, 2; 1 Mona, Vale, 3. Scratched: Wild Daisy, Morning Light. Won by a neck. Time, 3min 37 2-ssec. Normarjby Handicap, one mile and aquarter.—s Lord Lytton (Cameron), 1; 3 Tim Wilkin, 2; 2 Prize Pearl, 3. Scratched: Inora. Won by half a length. Time, 3min 2 4-ssec. Waimate Plains Cup.—l Lady Rothsoon (Pringle), 1; 6 Mahinga, 2; 7 Merivale, 3. Scratched: Lucille, Stone Beldon, Celtic, Woodchild, Sjambok. Won by three lengths. Time, 4min 49sec. Taranaki District Handicap, one mile and a-half.—4 Mawhiti (Clefton), 1; 1 Prond Bess, 2; Cliff, 3/ Scratched: Venice. Won by fifty yards. Time, 4min Bsec. . ■ •■. ...
