Tho second day of the Auckland Bac-. ■ing Club's Autumn Meeting. "\v.as favoured with perfect weather. There \Vas a large attendance. The Governor a-nd the Countess of Liverpool were_ present. The sum put through the totalisator'for the day was £57,646, an increase' pi £884 compared with the corresponding .flay of last. year. The . total ■ for the meeting ,wfcs £104,039, an increase of £9806. Rekahtti led till thi'ee furlongs from home, when The Toff and Bjorneborg went in front, The Toff finally winning by two lengths. . Time, 3miri 2sec —a record for the race.
