WEATHER WARM AND MUGGY
PROBABLY UNSETTLED \AND
CLOUDY.
The weather during the past few days has been warm and muggy, the maximum temperature in the shade being 79 degrees. This, however, does not convey an exact idea of tho degree of heat that has been experienced, bcause the air was humid and a warm atmosphere in such circumstances is folfc more than a dry heat. Thursday was tho worst day of the two. This morning the wind changed from nor'-wester to southerly shortly after 9 a.m., and there was a drop in the temperature. There has been a good deal of fog round the harbour during the day, and rain is reported in the northern districts and on the East Coast of botn Islands. Tho barometer is likely to fall, rising in the South, however, after about eixtoen hours. Prospects are for unsettled and cloudy weather, with rain generally. Variable northerly breezes, changing by west to Eoutherlies, are ateo predicted.
