LONDON, 22nd, February. Sir Douglas Haig reports: We repulsed raids eastward of Vermelles and southward of Neuve Chapelle. A French official communique states: German patrols north-east of Nieuport were dispersed. There has been artillery firing on the bank of the. Meuso, and the sector at Pepper Hill. Nothing has happened elsewhere.
