Waihi.—£3o,6o6 from 17,315 tons. The Waihi Gold Mining Company, during the period ended 10th February, representing thirty days' crushing, crushed and treated 17,315 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £30,606. Compared with the return for the- corresponding period of, last year, when 20,837 tons yielded £33,607 {or, a period of 32| days, this shows a decrease, of £3001.- ■ '. WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION. ! : The following cablegram has been sent to the head office of the Waihi Grand Junction Gold Company, Limited, London :—"We are crushing 400 tons'per 24 .hours; the extraction is £1 14s per ton. No. 8 level, Empire lede, foptwall .branch: The drive west . has been advanced to 90ft. The average value for a width of 60in. is £4 4s 2d per ton, with, the south wall showing. In the crosscut on, this lode to the north,, at 60ft,' the. next 13ft averages 9s 43 per ton value; north wall is exposed. No. 8 rise has been .put up '48ft, and holed through to the wmze from No. 7, level. The average value for a width of 42in is Ds lOd per | ton. Jlie south wall is exposed.."- i
