OTAKI HOSPITAL & SANATORIUM
It was reported at the meeting of tho Hospital Board yesterday afternoon that the consent of Cabinet had been rece,i\ ed for tho closing of tho Otaki Sani torium, also that tho Government, had approved of tho Department of Public Health taking over control of theinsti i.ution. The board agreed, as the result of representations mado by the Govern ment, to carry on the existing arrange ments until 31st March noxt, The statistics presented showed that during tho month ended Oth February last 12 patients s were admitted to the Otal i Hospital, 3 discharged and ,11 were still under treatment. Seven patients we'o admitted to the Otaki Sanatorium, 8 dis charged, and 17 were still under treat ment. Otaki Hospital and Sanatdi'ium accounts, amounting to £307 18s 4d were passed for payment.
