CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS TO-DAY
.The sitting of the Plunket Society, was resumed to-day.
The first 'question before the meeting was whether the sewing of infants' garments according to the Plunket patterns (to be sent to England for distribution) should be continued. Tributes were paid by many present to the excellent work done by school children in all parts of the Dominion, and it was decided to continue sending., ,
Mr. Arrowsmith proposed a hearty; vote of thanks to the steamship companies, who had carried a great number of parcels free of 'Z. charge.* This -was passed with acclamation. .. " ...'.■.
■ t Mrs. King spoke on the subject of. insuring these Plunket nurses. A nurse in one case was laid up by an accident for a, month, and she (Mrs. King) .thought: it would be well to: take the precaution she had suggested. Mrs. Chilton referred to the educational value of the work, and paid a tribute to Mrs. King's splendid work generally, ancr on the Central Council.
