HOSPITAL BOARD
The Wellington Hospital, and Charit-able-Aid Board met yesterday afternoon, when those present were Messrs. H Baldwin (chairman), B. G-. H. Burn, If. Castle, D. Campbell, H. Freeman, W. Galloway, J. \V. M'Ewan, G. J. Te-th-erick, X. Smith, C. M. Luke, ■ Rev. H. Van Staveren, and Mesdames D. M'Laren, A. M'Vicar, and Dr.. PlattsMills.
The, position in regard to the matronship of the M'Carthy Convalescent Home was discussed, and.it was decided to leave the matter to Dr. Barclay, the Medical Superintendent • ,
As recommended by the War Relief Association, it was decided that dependents of soldiers bo, granted fres dental treatment.
Satisfaction was expressed by the Public Health Committee at the .decrease in infectious diseases cases investigated by, the Health Inspectors for the month ending 14tb February, as compared with the corresponding period of last year. For 1916 the month's total was 69, as against SI for 1917.
The board accepted the surrender of Mrs. George's lease of section 3, Sala-itianca-road, and accepted in lieu thereof' a new lease of 21 years.
