WAIHI, This Day.

A miner named William Crompton, aged 40, was kiled this morning in the Grand Junction mine by falling out of a cage as it was ascending the shaft. Tho body, which was terribly mutilnted, was found at the bottom of the shaft, the man having fallen 800 feet. Ho leaves a wife and four children.
