VEXATIOUS TREATMENT OF CONSULS
"THANK GOD, WE ARE AGAIN IN A LAND OF LIBERTY!"
ZURICH, 21st February. Forty Americans have arrived here, including the Consuls from Dresden and Hamburg. The lattcr's first words on arrival were: "Thank God, we are again in a land of liberty." He complained that lie had been subjected to vexatious treatment, and had been detained eight days at Munich and six at Lindau. His luggage was examined several times, and the party was photographed and x-rayed before crossing the frontier.
