AUSTRALIAN TRANSPORT TORPEDOED
VESSEL REACHES PORT.
MELBOURNE, 2lst February. Mr. Cook, a_s Minister for the Navy, has been advised that the Australian transport Berrima (a P. and 0. liner of 11,137 tons) was torpedoed in European waters on Sunday, but reached port safely. No troops were on board. Four members of the crew are missing.
