(AUSIRAUAN-NBW ZEALAND CABLB ASSOCIATION.) WASHINGTON, 21st February. There is a general impression in official circles that Austria will support the German submarine policy, and that the diplomatic break with Austria will not long be delayed.
[It was reported yesterday that the American Ambassador at Vienna has requested a clear and final statement of Austria's standpoint as to the submarine campaign, us to whether the assurance given on the occasion of the Ancona and Persia incidents is to be changed or withdrawn.]
