'ADMIRAL KANE.
(POBLISBBD IN THE TIMES.)
LONDON, Ist February. Admiral Sir H.. C. Kane, the hero of the Calliope episode during tho great hurricane at Samoa in 1889, is dead. Admiral Kane retired in 1899. Ho was 74 yeaTs of age.
