LODGE MEETINGS
: A' very .large number of members attended the last fortnightly meeting of the Excelsior Lodge. The Arch Druid, Bro. E. Parkin, presided. Bros. W. M'Laughlin. J. Johnston, 0. D. Hargreaves, and the Arch Druid were elected a committee to review the amendments proposed for the Grand Lodge meeting nest month arid report to the lodge next meeting. The position of the competing teams for the "500" competition was reported to be as. follows :—• Zeakndia Oddfellows, '2 wins, no losses; Britannia ■ Oddfellows, 1 win, 1 loss; Antipodean Oddfellows, 1 win, no losses; Newtown Oddfellows, no wins, 1 loss; Coronation Druids, 2 wins, no losses; Pacific Druids, no wins, 1 loss; Excelsior Druids,- no wins,' 2 losses; Melrose Druids, no wins, 1 loss; Pride of Brooklyn Druids, .1 win, no losses; "D" Battery, 1 win, 1 loss; Cathie's, 2 wins, no losses; St. Anne's 1 win, no losses; Brooklyn Harriers, no wins. 2 losses. It was stated that Island Bay Druids, Gourts :Sir W.: Jervois and Sir George Grey, Loyal Northland and Kilbirnie Oddfellows, have had-to withdraw owing to not being able to provide teams. A number of visitors were present, including Bros. Bishop, Haddie, -and Cheeseman, from Australia, and' a splendid evening's harmony was spent.
