"J bathing beach.,.; What did happen was ii/t A large-sized starfish came' against the;* 1 bather, and the clammy feeling no doubt * I made her think of an octopus or other '! sea monsters. The bathing beach at, -I Island Bay is fine sand from the ladies'- : dressing shed around to'the boat" liar- -j bour, and no octopus can live or crawl I upon the sands. Had the lady been I bathing among the rocks she might have' } seen one; star, and jellyfish at this sea- t sen of the year are just now very plenti- 1 ful, and the contact of either against - the. | flesh is not pleasant.—l am etc. , | RESIDENT.
