WABRIMOO REALISES £58,000 It transpires that the steamer Warrimoo,! which vas- built at Newcastle in 1592 by Messrs. C. S. Swan .and Hunter, and was owned by ,the Union Steam Ship Company of New Zealand, Ltd., was sold to a Chinese firm in the Straits Settlements. for £58,000. The vessel is of 3528 gross and 2076 net.tons, and.was • one: of the best known steamers on the New Zealand; coast. Together with the Maitai (now lost at [ Karotonga) she commenced the Pacific all-red* mail route under the Canadian-Australian flag SUCTION DREDGE FOR HEATHCOTE There is at present building in the yard of Messrs. Miller Bros., Dock Head, Lyttelton, a small suction dredge to the order of Mr. Joshua Little, who is well known in the community as an ardent supporter of the canal scheme, and who for many years occupied a seat on the Lyttelton Harbour Board. The dredge will be fitted up wit!) the latest pumping machinery, and will be driven by electricity. It is understood (says the Lyttelton Times) that the vessel will operate on the Hcathcote river • Owing to the labour -difficulty the Pateena, which was to have sailed for Pieton and Nelson at 12.45 p.m. to-day, will not leave until 5 p.m. The Kapuni went round to the Slip this morning for ■ overhaul, and was followed at 11.30 a.m. by the Kegulus
