FRENCH PREPARATIONS COMPLETE
CAN ATTACK ON BIG SCALE AT ANY' TIME

PARIS, 30th January.
Correspondents insist that the French preparations for an offensive are so complete that they are able to attack on a big scale .wherever and whenever they choose, thus restoring the element of suprise, which was absent at Loos, the Champagne, and on the Somme, where the Germans were aware of the concentrations of troops. The French have now prepared vast stores of ammunition and material, and have laid great lengths of new roads and railways.
