FIGHTING ON THE VERDUN FRONT.
(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLK ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 30th January. A communique states: There is reciprocal artillery fighting and grenade .warfare oil the sector of Hill 304, and on the left bank, of the Meuse. Long-range artillery firing is proceeding in Lorraine. (ADS. AND N.Z. CABLE ASSN. AND ItEUTER.) LONDON, 30th January. A French communique states: A grenade attack in the region of Hill 304 was smashed up by our lire; A German coup de main north of Badonvillers failed. Our artillery is active east of Seppois, in Southern Alsace.
