DRESS REGULATIONS

UNIFORM FOR V.M.C.A. PERSONNEL.

A general order was issued last month directing that during.the war -whole-pay officera and non-commissioned officers must wear uniform at all times except in the privacy of their homes. It has now been decided to add the following: "Plain clothes may, however, as a special privilege, be occasionally worn by officers and other 1 ranks, when on leave, when attending private meetings, on urgent pri|,vato business, or when engaged in out?? ! 'floor sport, and recreation. ■ -All ranks must remember that New ZealaScl is in a state-of- ■war,--and they may at any moment be required to exercise- discipline <st carry out urgent orders. The following uniform has been approved for male personnel -of tho Young Men's Christian Association working with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force:—Gap: Service dress,' with badge : similar in design to the badge. ■on . the V.M.C.A. note-paper. Jacket: Service dress as for- officers, but buttoned up to the throat and fitted with stand-up collar. Leather buttons and embroidered shoulder - titles, "V.M.C.A." The V.M.C.A. badge on black cloth will be worn on the right sleeve above the eliow. No other badges will be worn. Trousers: Service dress.
