MARKET AT A STANDSTILL.

(ADSTRAUAM-NEW ZBAMND CAM! ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 11th October. The wheat trade is at a standstill, as the merchants are waiting to see the effect of the Government's action. The Wieat Commission has issued a circular to the trade, announcing that it is prepared to take over, at last Monday's fair market price, all holdings or contracts then existing for wheat and flour. AH wheat and flour controlled by the Commission will be sold through the customary channels' by firms appointed by the Government as agents. The action of the Commission is not intended in any way to restrict free dealing in stocks of wheat and flour not bought by the Commission.
