DUNEDIN POISONING CASE.
(IT ItLBfIRIPB.—PiESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, September 1,
An inquest on the body of Mrs. M'Robie was held at Mosgiel to-day. The evidence showed that deceased and her husband got on well, except when she took drink. On such occasions she became hysterical, and often threatened suicide after having drink. Her husband remonstrated with her on Wednesday morning, asking her to stop drinking. After asking the husband to "shout" as it was his birthday, deceased went to the scullery, and a few minutes later the husband followed, and found her taking a cup from her lips, after drinking poison. Medical aid was secured, but she died after midnight. The Coroner returned a verdict of death from syncope, due to poisoning.
