At the Skeffington ; enquiry ' Lieut.Robbin, aged nineteen, replying 'to the chairman, said he did 7not defends the prisoners because Colthurst* was his superior officer, but he was not actually ordered to give them up. Colthurst simply said he wanted the prisoners, and' took them. Witness knew Colthurst was; doing wrong, but was not in a position, 'to say so to his superior. He admitted he, heard a rumour that Colthurst had' previously shot a boy in the street. The enquiry has closed.
