MR. J. ADAMSON'S POSITION.

The Hon. John Adamson denies that he has resigned his portfolio. He considers that a full Cabinet meeting should have the opportunity of discussing his attitude on conscription. The leaders and members of the Cabinet are bringing pressure to bear on Mr. Adamson with the view of dissuading him from his contemplated resignation. - *
[It was reported on Thursday that Mr. Adamson, Minister of Railways, ha1d resigned his portfolio and had accepted the vice-presidency of the Universal Service League.]
