FORTUNES FOR ENGLAND
American fortunes which will go to England through the marriage of American girls to Englishmen of title are, according to an English paper, those of Messrs. W. K. Variderbilt, Ogden Goelet, Whitelaw Reid, Ogden Mills, George Gould, and Bradley Martin. The incomes, from these fortunes are, it is stated, subject to the new income tax of 35 per cent. (7s in the £), which began to operate on Ist July.
