EMPRESS THEATRE.
The Triangle Company presented a big laughing success, "My Valet," at the Empress Theatre this morning. It is the first of.the "polite comedies" which this company has introduced, and, whilo keeping clear of rough comedy, it runs along Keystone lines, associating closely the perilous and the amusing. . Mabel Normand and Raymond Hitchcock score heavily, keeping the audience laughing heartily. Mack Sennett as the valet, who is compelled to change places with his master and assume his responsibilities, even with his-love affairs, Is surprisingly funny. An attractive programme is added to the star attraction. "The Offending Kiss" is a powerful drama of love and hate. "The Vanderbilt Cup" shows what a strenuous struggle the last motor race was, while the "Topical Budget" is an interesting film.
