MORE WORKERS' DWELLINGS.
Cabinet has authorised the erection of additional workers' dwellings in NewZealand this year. The numbers for the different centres have yet- to be allocated;-, but it is probable that Wellington will have a large, share;- in view of the great scarcity of house accommodation, in this city. A number of applications for dwellings have already been received, and Wellington has the land available, so that, when the necessary preliminary steps have been taken, work should be proceeded with rapidly In the Kilbirnie estate the Labour 'Department has eleven sections not yet built upon, and there are sections also at Petone and Joimsonville. . " ' •
