PRICES IN THE'LONDON MARKET.

CHRISTCHURCH, 16th August.
At the annual meeting of the Canterbury Sheepowners' Union a deputation was appointed to wait upon the Prime Minister regarding the discrepancy between the prices of Argentine and New Zealand meat in London. It was also resolved that the Prime Minister should be notified that the producers wore not satisfied with the method of dealing with New Zealand mutton and lamb not required for the Army,1 and that he be asked to have full enquires mado at Home in the interests of New ■Zealand fanners.
