"SAN" TOY."

Much local interest is centred in tho approaching season of the Wellington Operatic Society, commencing at the Opera House on Saturday next. The piece to be staged is "San Toy," in which many gorgeous colour effects will be seen. The song features are melodious, and will afford the performers many opportunities for the display of their powers. Miss Helen Gardner. of Dunedin, has been entrusted with the title role, and Mr. V. R. Meredith has the part o[ the English lover. The comedy quartette are Messrs. A. W. Newton, W. Crawford, Norman Aitken, and A. Shaw. The frocks have been designed by Mrs. Hannah. Mr. Tom Pollard will s-tsge the opera. The box plan at the Bristol is filling rapidly.
