THE BARQUE WANGANUI

The barquentine Wanganui arrived at Auckland on Tuesday evening from Sydney after a run of 11 days. She was towed into port by the tug Te Avhina. The Wanganui was formerly known as the Carla, and was stranded on the beach near the Wanganui river bar about four years ago. She was subsequently refloated, and was later purchased by Messrs. H. lileakley and Co., of Sydney. The Wanganui has since been regularly employed in the intercolonial trade
