HEALTH OF THE MEN

NO FURTHER DEVELOPMENTS.

Speaking to a Post reporter this morning regarding the health of the men in the training camps, Surgeon-General Henderson, Director-General of Medical Services, stated that matters were going better at Trentham. The diphtheria, case was now out of danger, while the pneumonia and cerebro-f,pinal meningitis cases were improving. The spring cleaning and disinfection of Trentham Camp were being vigorously carried out, and, giver. a spell of fine weather, there was no reason to anticipate any further unfavourable development.

" I visited Featheivston and Tauherenikan Camps yesterday in company with Colonel Valintinp," proceeded General Henderson, " and as a result of our inspection we found things to be quite satisfactory. The 19th Reinforcements, who were moved up there from Trentham on Sunday, had no serious disease amongst them." •'
