BRITAIN'S OUTPUT OF GUNS
ENORMOUS INCREASE IN
QUANTITY.

LONDON, 15th August. In 'the House of Commons, Lord Montagu of Beaulieu, Minister of Munitions, statefl that Britain was now manufacturing each month twice as many heavy guns as she possessed at the outbreak of the war. The output of machine-guns had increased by sixteen times.
Tlie weekly output of high explosives was sixty times, and that of field howitsiers mghteen timeo, greater than'at tho Tpeniunintr of 3915.
