GERMAN INFLUENCE ALLEGED.
LONDON, 14th August. Tlie Daily Telegraph declares that Chicago influences are largely responsible for the rise of wheat in the English markets during the past few days. In some quarters it is declared that the movement is the result of a GermanAmerican conspiracy to force up the prices. If they could increase the freightage from the Argentine and Australia that would counteract the American gambling.
