NEW ZEALAND TROTTING ASSOCIATION
STIPENDIARY STEWARDS
WANTED,
(BT lELEGBAPB.—PKESS ASSOCIATION.)
CHRISTCHURCH, 15th Aug.
lAt a meeting of the board of the New Zealand Trotting. Association, held tonight, a letter was received from the Eating Conference, stating that it was inadvisable for racing club stipendiary stewards to act for trotting events on a racing club's programme.
It was agreed that it be a recommendation to the new board that no trotting events should be approved on racing clubs' programmes unless the club was prepared to pay the fees for a stipendiary steward.
The trustees were recommended to invest the association's funds in the war loan.
