FEWER TELEGRAMS BUT MORE REVENUE
The Postmaster-General has furnished the following information regarding telegraph business for June, 1916, and, for purposes of comparison, for tho corresponding month of 1915: — ! In June last the number of ordinary teiegramc sent in the wliolo of the Dominion was 440,711, against 493.133 in June, 1915—a decrease of 52,422. On account of the war-tax, however, there was an iucrease in revenue from ordinary tolegrame of £1637.
Tho total number' of messages of all kinds, including bureau messages, in Juno of this year, was 817,452, against 860.663 last year—a decrease of 43,211— whilo the'revenue increased by £2891.
Tho net telegraph revenue in June of thi« yoar was £?31,&06, an increase of ,£B6BI .■ over litt j^aj,
