In the Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon Mr. W. G. Riddell,' S.M., delivered judgment in the case of Margaret Adams v. Henry and George Walden, the claim being for £45, alleged to bo due for nursing. The defendants are brothers of the plaintiff and executors in the estate of the late James Walden. The defence contended that the money had been paid, but plaintiff denied that she had ever received the amount alleged to be due to her. The Magistrate held that there was riot sufficient evidence to show •' that the money had not been paid, and he would accordingly nonsuit the plaintiff. At the hearing Mr. P. W. Jackson appeared for the-plain-tiff, while defendant* were' renresented by Mr. H. Hill.
