A SERIOUS POSITION
(PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
ARISING OUT OF DAY-BAKING
SCHEME.
(Received June 19,. 10 a.m.)
MELBOURNE, This Day. A serious position has arisen in connection with the attempt by the Trades Hall to introduce day-baking. Two of the largest mills in the State will be compelled to close if all the employees respond to the order of the Trades Hall. Mills in the city and country will be placed in a similar position, and there is a possibility of interference with the shipments of flour and wheat to the Allies.
