WAR RELIEF
LOCAL ASSOCIATION'S WORK.
Seventy-five applications were dealt with at the meeting of the Relief Committee of the Wellington War Relief Association yesterday. The hon. lady visitor, Mrs. J. B. MacEwan, reported that she had received several exceedingly useful and splendidly worked articles of clothing' from the children of Miss Laurenson's class at the Technical School. The children were congratulated on their excellent work, and a, hearty vote of thanks was accorded^ them for their, generous efforts on behalf of the many deserving applicants at present being assisted by .the association. The. Royal New Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children continues to supply clothing, and nearly 2CO garments have been handed over by the .society to Mrs. MacEwan for distribution. It was decided also to heartily thank Miss Barnett, who renders excellent assistance to Mrs. MacEwan in' numerous directions.
