As the result of the Prime Minister's appeal on behalf of the Soldiers' Club when the deputation in favour of 6 o'clock closing of hotels waited on him to-day, the following donations were received :—Mr. Robert Pearson. £1; Mr. C. H. Saville, £1; Mr. John Hutcheson, £1; Mr. W. IT. George, £1; Mr. J. Carr, £1; Deputation, 2s. Total £5 2s.
