ST. LOUIS, 16th June.
The Democratic platform condemns hyphenated-Americans as being subversive to American unity and destructive to the nation's welfare, repudiates their efforts to influence ilie United States Government, denounces the existing conspiracies, and lauds neutrality. The platform holds that the United States must use its power not only to make itself safe at home, but to secure its just interests throughout the world, and affirms the right of small States to live their own lives, and choose their own sovereignty. It also believes that the time has arrived for America to join with other nations to prevent wars. Emphasis is laid on .American assertion of fundamental rights of small states as against mere questions of property. In this respect the Wilson Administration platform contends that it has maintained the highest traditions of the United States. (Received June 17, 3.1S p.m.) , NEW YORK, 16th June. A Renter message from St. Louis states that the Democratic platform adopted contains a plank condemning vigorously all combinations of individuals of whatever nationality or descent conspiring for the purpose of embarrassing the Government, improperly coercing public representatives, and in dealing with any foreign Power. It is intended to rebuke the Teutonic propagandists. Other planks declare for freedom of the seas, and encouragement of American shipping.
