WAIHI. I During the period ended 3rd June last I the Waihi Gold Mining Company crushed and treated 15,172 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £26.022. Compared with the return for the corresponding period last year, when 15,707 tons produced £26,079, this shows a decrease of £57. • ■

The following,cablegram has been sent to the head office, London : "At No. 12 level the Dreadnought lode has been driven to the. east 10ft, value 15s a ton; and driven to the west 9ft, value 5s a ton. At No; 11 level, Empire lode, east of Bath crosscut, 10ft has been driven, 521 ft to 531 ft, value 23s 9d a ton. The Dreadnought lode, south section, 57ft, ■has been driven 338 ft to 395 ft, value 106s 3d. The reef averages 30in wide."
