"THE DEVIL'S TOY."
■ The Empress Theatre will screen on Monday morning tho big dramatic success, '"'The Devil's Toy," in five acts. The production is on a tremendous scale, and incidentally shows scores of magnificent gowns, each one a creation of the best designers in America. Thousands of people in the big ensembles, and marvellous spectacular scenes, are profusely distributed throughout the play. The Biltmore Ice Garden, New York's latest craze, is presented in actual photographs, with all its gaiety and brilliance. The plot centres on the vaulting ambition of an artist, who sacrifices all that he might have riches, fame, and love. Riches and fame were granted, but love was denied him. He is consumed with a burning passion for a handsome girl, who discovers that his fame is the result of stealing his friend's paintings and exhibiting them as his own. She loves the friend, and revenges hm'sclf on the thief. Tlie play ends happily.
