THE KING'S THEATRE.
Many novelists have attempted to picture a man full of energy and enthusiasm in the cause of justice and right who has spent his life on the uplift of the downtrodden, but perhaps none has succeeded in reaching the soul of the people better than Hall Came in his famous character John Storm in " The Christian.'' The picture version of the novel is at present being shown at the King's Theatre, and the realistic scenes among the London slums, the life of Glory Quayle, with its many temptations, and the tragic ending of. the story arc splendidly presented. Hall Came personally superintended tne production of the film, and his son Derwent took the part of JohivStorm. Elizabeth Risden gave a vivid idea of Glory,, while the lesser characters were in cap-' able hands. "The Christian" will be shown for the remainder of the week.
