TO-DAY'S SITTINGS
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL
After a fortnight's adjournment the Legislative Council met at 2.30 o'clock this afternoon. The Hon. R. K. Simpson was granted a week's leave of absence on account of illness. The AA'ar Pensions Amendment Bill was received from the House of Representatives and read a first time. It will come up for its second reading tomorrow. _ The Hon. Col. AA7. E. Collins gave notice to ask the Government, if it will consider the necessity of introducing legislation on the subject of venereal diseases. A'arious Sessional Committees were set up. The Council rose at 2.45 p.m.
