AN UNOFFICIAL STATEMENT.
(Received May 31, 12.30 p.m.) * LONDON, 30th May.
In the House of Commons, Mr.- R. L. Outhwaite drew attention to the statement of M. Melinkoff, a member of the Russian Duma, that Russia's supreme aim was to get Constantinople. He asked whether this statement represented Russia's view.
Sjr Edward Grey said it was not desirable to comment on an unofficial statement. ■
