SUPREME COURT
(BI TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
TIMARU, 29th May. The Supreme Court was occupied all day hearing a charge against a young married man, the driver of a baker's cart, charged with failing to account for £64 collected for his employer. The defence was that the apparent shortage was due to faulty book-keeping by the employer, and the jury took this view and acquitted the man.
The Fairlie burglary cases will be heard to-morrow.
